Amul congratulates UK PM Rishi Sunak in a constructive manner

Rishi Sunak became the third Prime Minister of Britain this year and created history by becoming the first Indian-origin person to hold the top post. Wishes pour in from all over the world for Mr. Sunak. In one such congratulatory message, dairy brand Amul has come up with an interesting creative to wish the new Prime Minister of Britain.

Amul took to Instagram to share the image. The company’s mascot can be seen in London with Mr. Sunak. The text in the image reads, “Sage Sunuk. Prime Makhan,” in blue where some of the letters are highlighted in red to appear as “UK PM.”

The post is captioned, “#Amul Topical: Welcome to Britain’s first Indian-origin PM!” Even though the post was shared five hours ago, it has garnered over 5,000 likes on Instagram.

Many users were impressed by the creative message. One user wrote, “Amazing! Amul doesn’t reply! (No words for Amul). Another commented, “Amazing!” The post also had a laughing emoji and a clapping emoji.

Mr. Sunak is receiving a flurry of welcome messages from around the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter yesterday and wrote, “As you become PM of the UK, I look forward to working together on global issues. Special Diwali greetings to the ‘living bridge’ of UK Indians, Because we transform our historical relationship into a modern partnership.”

US President Joe Biden said it was “foundational” that Britain would be led by a man of Indian heritage. “This is very surprising, an important milestone and it matters,” Mr Biden said at the White House celebrations of the Indian Diwali celebrations on Monday.

“I look forward to our further cooperation and partnership as close friends in NATO and (the) G7,” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz tweeted.
