Amul Gives A Shout Out As Rohan Bopanna Becomes Oldest Grand Slam Winner

In a moment of pride for India, Tennis player Rohan Bopanna has achieved the rank of World No. 1 in men’s doubles in the ATP rankings. Notably, at the age of 43, he has also become the oldest Grand Slam winner. Renowned for their topical advertisements, Amul India created a special poster after Rohan clinched the Australian Open 2024 with partner Matthew Ebden on Saturday. The Amul topical features a cartoon representation of Rohan holding a tennis racket in one hand and a bread and butter sandwich in the other. The text at the top of the poster reads, “Top of the Bops,” while “Double Mazaa Lo” is written at the bottom. “Rohan Bopanna is set to become the world’s oldest no. 1 ranked tennis player in men’s doubles at 43!” reads the caption of Amul India’s Instagram post.

Amul India consistently excels in celebrating moments of national pride through their creative topicals. On the 75th Republic Day, the brand shared another poster featuring the iconic Amul girl standing alongside a male character. Both are depicted standing, holding tricolours in one hand and bread and butter in the other. The text on the poster reads, “Every Indian’s fundamental bite,” while the bottom text states, “Amul: makes every Indian happy.” In the caption, Amul India wrote, “#Amul Topical: India celebrates her 75th year of being a Republic!”

Before that, when the Indian cricket team secured a victory against South Africa in the shortest test match, Amul India marked the triumph with yet another topical. In the picture, a cartoon representation of Indian cricket stars, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, was featured. Both players were depicted holding wicket stumps, with one relishing bread and butter and the other making a victory sign with fingers covered in butter. The caption of the post read, “#Amul Topical: India beats South Africa at Cape Town in the shortest test ever!”
