Popular dairy brand Amul often releases topicals to celebrate achievements of national pride. Royal Challengers Bengaluru led by Smriti Mandhana recently scripted history by lifting the Women’s Premier League 2024 trophy on March 17. While the entire nation was celebrating the win, as always, Amul made sure to congratulate the team with a foodie twist. The brand uploaded a special topical to mark the win. In the post, we can spot the Amul girl standing next to Smriti Mandhana who is holding the trophy. The Amul girl is seen making the skipper eat bread and butter. The creative team used a pun while writing the text at the top of the topical. It read, “Royal Challengers have a bun galore!” The text at the bottom stated a different full form of WPL, “Wonderful Power Lunch.” Take a look below:

Before that, Amul shared a post for Christopher Nolan, who won the Best Director award at the Oscars 2024 for the film Oppenheimer. The post featured a cartoon representation of the filmmaker along with the word “Oscarheimer!” written on top. In the caption, Amul wrote, “#Amul Topical: Christopher Nolan’s epic movie sweeps the 96th Academy Awards!” Check it out here.
Amul had also shared a topical for the viral interaction between Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Nagpur’s Dolly Chaiwala. The illustration features a cartoon sketch of the two next to a typical tea setup.
