To prepare this dish, first pour refined oil in a pan. Then add a bay leaf, green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon. Let them release the scent. Now add onions and fry till golden, then add ginger-garlic paste. Mix and add chicken pieces. Fry till they start getting a little coloured. Now add turmeric and salt. Toss and add water. Add green chilies and curry leaves. Let the curry boil.

Now, add spices- red chilli powder, cashew-poppy seed paste, chicken masala, kasturi methi, garam masala and coriander powder. Mix well and let the curry cook till the chicken is cooked. If necessary add more water.
