In a sudden turn of events, Additional Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy was on Sunday appointed as Executive Officer (Full Additional Charge) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

As per G.O. Rt.No. 813 Released by Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma, Shri Dharma Reddy will hold the post till further orders.

Pursuant to the orders, Sri Dharma Reddy took over from outgoing executive officer KS Jawahar Reddy, who was posted as Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister in February.

Sri Dharma Reddy is in this position for the second time, the first time on October 4, 2020. His previous stint as executive officer lasted for a week after the transfer of AK Singhal as principal secretary (medical, health and family welfare).

Later, in a brief ceremony at Bangaru Vakali inside the temple, Sri Dharma Reddy took oath as the Executive Officer as well as the ex-officio member of the TTD Trust Board.

He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Sada Bhargavi, Joint Executive Officer, Tirupati.

Meanwhile, Mr Jawahar Reddy expressed satisfaction at serving the pilgrims during his 19-month tenure and termed it as a “God-given opportunity”.

Chennai-based commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland on Sunday donated a mini truck worth ₹18.38 lakh to TTD.

In a brief ceremony in front of the temple premises, the company’s vice-president Sanjeev Kumar handed over the keys and related documents to Deputy EO (T) Ramesh Babu.
