A young woman and 11 members of her family were seriously injured by a man with an iron rod and a knife in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The incident took place in Firangipuram where a man identified as Peram Edukondalu and claimed to be in love with the woman attacked him and his family members.
The woman and two other critically injured were shifted to Guntur General Hospital, while nine others were admitted to Narasaraopet Government Hospital.
According to the reports, the woman is engaged to someone else. Unable to accept the rejection, the man got angry and attacked him and his family.
