Angry young man arrested two witnesses for not fulfilling his vow to recover his eyes

Police has arrested a 24-year-old youth on the charges of thirteen in two temples of Indore. A police officer told initial inquiries from the incident that he had prayed to God that his eye had been healed in an accident in his childhood and was upset that the prayer was not fulfilled.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Choubey told PTI on Friday that Shubham Kaithwas (24) has been booked for vandalizing idols by using mirrors in two temples of Chandan Nagar and Chhatripura during the recent night.

He told that during the initial interrogation of the police, Gharabhat said that one of his eyes was damaged due to accidental glass penetration in his childhood and he had made a vow to God that he would cure this eye.

Choubey said, “During interrogation, Kaithwas told us that he was upset because his prayer was not being fulfilled. However, we are carrying out a detailed probe into the sensitive matter of cables.

He is said to be “mentally unstable” at first sight. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police said that Kaithwas’s father has a small shop on the terrace, but does not do any work and surfs here and there.

Choubey said that the police have registered a case against Kaithwas under Indian Penal Code section 295-A (malicious act said with intent to hurt the religious feelings of any section).
