The cast and crew members of upcoming Malayalam film Antony, directed by Joshi, will lend their one day’s earnings to the relatives of those killed in the Tanoor boat accident in Kerala. The makers of Antony will also donate Rs 11 lakh for this.
The shooting of Antony is currently underway in Erattupetta where scenes of the lead characters are being shot. Producer Einstein Zack Paul and other crew members will reach Malappuram Collectorate between 4 to 5 pm on Wednesday and donate Rs 11 lakh directly to the District Collector.
Recently the first look of this film was released in Kochi. The poster featured a silhouette of a girl in front of a picture of a lion. This first impression is currently gaining popularity among the audience. The cast of Joshi’s 2019 film Porinju Mariam Jose, which starred Joju George, Nyla Usha and Chemban Vinod Jose, will be reuniting for the film. Kalyani Priyadarshan will also play an important role in the film. Rajesh Varma, known for films like Upadeshpoorvam Gunda Jayan, Life of Josutty and Paisa Paisa, wrote the screenplay for Antony.
The film is to be distributed by JoJu’s Appu Pathu Pappu banner and produced by Einstein Jack Paul under Einstein Media Company.
Some of the successful films directed by Joshi include Thanthram, Lion, Naduvazhikal and Lastina Theerpu. Additionally, he has directed films including Salaam Kashmir, Christian Brothers, Lokpal and Pothan Vava.
