The Trampler range of tires will cater to various motorcycle segments such as Sport Touring, Adventure Touring, Cruiser and Street Sports. Apollo says that it accounts for around 20% of the total motorcycle market in India.
The Trampler range comes in two patterns, Apollo Trampler XRwhich is a 70:30 Enduro off-road tire for adventure touring, and Apollo Trampler ST, which is an 80:20 enduro street tire for dual sport capabilities. The company said these tires have been designed and developed at Apollo Tires’ Global R&D Center in Chennai, and are being produced at the company’s facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
Apollo Tires said that they have created a new segment based on customer feedback, which allows bikers to go on an adventurous journey with the Apollo Trampler XR, in addition to the regular ride on their current machines. The Tramplr XR range will cater to the likes of Royal Enfield Classics, Yamaha FZ Series, Suzuki Gixxer and Intruder, KTM Series, Bajaj Dominar and BMWG310R.
In addition, the Apollo Trampler XR tires have adventure-loaded spots markings on the sides of the tyres.
Coming to the Tramplr XR range, these tires sport a unique tread pattern, large tread block and sport steel radial technology. According to Apollo Tyres, all these features allow the Trampler XR tires to offer excellent on-road handling and superior off-road capability without compromising on comfort.
The Apollo Trampler ST tires are inspired by the street culture of biking and have graffiti art on the pavement. Moreover, the Apollo Trampler ST tires suit the likes of motorcycles like Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache series, Yamaha Fazer and MT15.

The company says that the Apollo Trampler ST tires are suitable for all weather conditions with their large central block and wide footprint area. The company also said that this tire provides a better grip and less rolling noise while keeping the bike stable at high speeds.
Despite being a late entrant into the two-wheeler segment in India, Apollo Tires maintains that the company accounts for 10% of the total market share in this segment. However, the company aims to focus its strategy on the premium motorcycling space, and within a short span of time, the company said that it has achieved 20%+ market share in the premium segment of two-wheelers.
Speaking at the launch event, Satish Sharma, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA), Apollo Tires Ltd. said, “With the changing consumption patterns of Indian consumers as well as the growth in the enthusiast segment of riders who seek adventure are in, prompting us to give them new shoes to do more with their current set of motorcycles. With a focus on steel radial technology products for superior sporting performance, we are now looking to move into the dual sport and adventure touring segment.”
