Apple 14 launch effect: iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Mini discontinued in India

Apple iPhone 14 series and iPhone 14 Pro models have been launched this week, and they are coming to the Indian market later this month. But with new launches, Apple is giving up on its older iPhones, and this year, we’re seeing some models now being discontinued. How can we say that?

Apple India iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Mini and even iPhone 11 are no longer listed in the website. There are four models of the new iPhone 14 series and the company is making necessary changes, eliminating the old and giving people more and more options.

The iPhone 12 Mini is taking off, but with the iPhone 13 Mini sticking around, Apple is allowing people with different options to have options.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are the two entry-level models in the iPhone 14 lineup, with the iPhone 14 Plus offering a larger display than the vanilla iPhone 14.

The iPhone 14 Plus replaces the ‘mini’ iPhone and will be a larger version of the iPhone 14, which is now the base level model for Apple in the market this year. Many saw the end of the mini as approaching, when the company earlier this year decided to cut production of the iPhone 13 mini to create more iPhone 13 Pro models.

The vanilla Apple iPhone 14 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, which we saw on the iPhone 13 series last year. At the same time, the iPhone 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch Super Retina HDR display.

As far as older models are concerned, should you buy these so called discontinued models? In markets like India, you will get a chance to buy iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Mini and even iPhone 11 at special discounted prices thanks to various deals online. You get warranties from these platforms which are also officially followed. So, if you can bargain these old iPhones, go for it.
