Apple iPhone 14 Pro models to come with punch-hole OLED display

Apple Finally, a smartphone with a punch hole display can be launched. It’s only been a few months since the tech giant launched its iPhone 13 series, and now details about the iPhone 14 lineup are starting to emerge. As The Elec reports, the iPhone 14 Pro series may lose the notch we’ve seen in all previous models in favor of a hole-punch screen design.

According to the outlet, next year’s Pro model will feature 48MP punch-hole selfie cameras. The 6.06-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to use the LG Display LTPO 120Hz OLED panel and will be the only model to sport the new look.

The non-Pro iPhone 14 models which should include the 6.06-inch model and a new 6.7-inch version will still have a notch and their displays will be supplied by BOE. The entry-level model is not expected to offer an LTPO screen and 120Hz refresh rate.

The article predicts that BOE will start supplying LTPO panels for the iPhone 15 series in 2023. Apple is expected to bring a revised iPhone SE model in 2022 with a similar design to the current model but with 5G connectivity.
