Apple releases iOS 15.4.1 to fix battery drain issue – Times of India

Apple Previously rolled out packaged features iOS 15.4 Updates for your mobile users. Updates include the ability to unlock the iPhone with a mask, live text integration, and more. However, some users reported experiencing quick battery drainage of their iPhones after upgrading to the latest version. To fix the problem, the Cupertino-based company has now released a minor-critical update. it’s rolled out iOS 15.4.1 More iPadOS 15.4.1 for iPhones and iPads.
Updates are available over-the-air in the Settings app on all eligible devices. It can be downloaded for free. Users can go to Settings > General > Software Update to access the new software update.
According to the update’s release notes, it fixes an issue that causes rapid battery drain after updating to iOS 15.4. The update also brings a fix for Made for iPhone hearing devices and Braille devices. Here are the known issues that the new OS update will fix:

  • iOS 15.4 . Battery may drain faster than expected after updating to
  • Braille devices may become unresponsive when navigating text or displaying alerts
  • Hearing aids made for iPhone may lose connection within some third-party apps

Apple iOS 15.4.1 And iPadOS 15.4.1 also fixes the AppleAVD issue that can allow an app with kernel privileges to execute arbitrary code. Apple suggests the user to update to the update as soon as possible as the problem may have been actively exploited.
iOS 15.4 brings the ability to unlock the iPhone while wearing a mask. This feature is currently supported on Apple iPhone 12 and above models. The update comes with over 100 new emoji from the Emoji 14.0 set, a new voice for Siri, improvements to Safari web page translation, and more.
