Apple will launch a refreshed HomePod with S8 processor in 2023 – Times of India

Hence, it makes more sense for the upcoming chipset to come with an S series chip instead of the older A-series chipset for better neural processing. Apart from this, the new HomePod is not expected to come with major cosmetic changes so that it looks the same as the original HomePod. As far as audio quality is concerned, Gurman says it will be more or less the same as the 2018 HomePod. And it may come with an updated display on top that could support multi-touch functionality.
One of the primary reasons behind the failure of the HomePod was its hefty price tag. The HomePod was introduced for $349 (Rs 19,900 in India), while most smart speakers were available for a fraction of its price. So, there are chances that the new HomePod may come with a more affordable price tag.
