Mumbai Indians head coach Mark Boucher Backed Arjun Tendulkar, who gave away 31 runs in the 15th over of PBKS’s innings. Arjun was the most expensive MI bowler, conceding 48 runs in three overs at an economy of 16.
“I think Rohit, who is a very experienced cricketer, thought he would bowl Arjun in the 14th-15th over. It was a better match-up at that stage of the game. Sometimes, they (the decision) Goes in your favor and sometimes they don’t. Unfortunately, it didn’t go their way, and sometimes match-ups don’t work out and that’s just the nature of T20 cricket,” he said.
It will be difficult for him (Arjun) to come to the Wankhede to bowl at the back end where the conditions were good to bat. Maybe, he got one or two (delivery) wrong, he was probably feeling under pressure but he will survive and learn from it. It’s not the end of the world. It is still not early days but middle days in IPL and hopefully he will come back stronger. He has the full support of the support staff and players.
