“Each matter should be addressed to the national security, the defense of India, the law and order situation, the maintenance of discipline in the armed forces, the ethos and customs of military service, the general sentiments of the citizens and the image of the armed forces in the minds of the public,” Bhatt said. said.
The rationale behind issuing NOCs to filmmakers and producers for films based on defence-related subjects is to ensure that the armed forces are not portrayed in a manner that brings disrepute to them, the government or the country. He also emphasized that the approval process is not violative of Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution.
