Artist uses AI to create photos of selfie-taking animals, the results stun the internet

The images have been generated by AI platform Midjourney.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) art has become the new trending thing on the internet, with users sharing a barrage of artistic images on social media. Hoping on the trend, artist Jyo John Mullur shared a bunch of AI-generated visuals to show how animals look like while taking selfies. The images, created by AI platform Midjourney, were shared on Mr Mullur’s page on Instagram.

He captioned the pictures, “I recently shared some selfies of my old friends, and I have been flooded with new selfies from all over the world. Some of them are really delectable. Care to share which one is your favourite?” The pictures show different animals taking selfies with their friends and the results are stunning.

The post features adorable pictures of animals like dogs, cats, dolphins, monkeys, horses, meerkats, squirrels and ducks. In another post, he shared similar AI images of bears, lions, giraffes, camels and rabbits taking selfies.

The photos, shared on Instagram in February, have gone viral, leaving people spellbound. Users appreciated the artist’s creativity and commented on how cute the animals looked. The comment box was filled with heart and love emojis and many people shared their favorite picture from the series.

One user said, “Amazinggagggggggg,” while another said, “Ducks made in Ohio.” A third user wrote, “Love those selfies!

Last month, the same artist posted a series of Images showing celebritiesIncluding Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar, Mother Teresa and Elvis Presley taking a selfie. Mr Muller said he used AI software Midjourney to “selfie from the past” and Photoshop to repaint the images.

The photos also featured Soviet Union leader Joseph Stalin, former US President Abraham Lincoln, scientist Albert Einstein, Jamaican singer Bob Marley and Argentine Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara, among others.
