Aryan case: Byju’s stops Shah Rukh Khan’s commercials after Twitter storms – Times of India

BENGALURU: Byju’s is temporarily halting commercials featuring its brand ambassador, a Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan, sources told TOI.

The move follows a Twitter storm over the online learning company continuing to use Shahrukh At a time when his son Aryan Khan has been sent to judicial custody for alleged drug use. Emails sent to Byju’s remained unanswered till the time of going to press.

Khan is the brand ambassador of Byju’s since 2017. Most recently, he has been promoting the company’s live online tutoring initiative called Byju Classes. A TV commercial on this last year focused on IPL as well as individual after-school learning solutions.

Khan also endorses several other brands including Big Basket and Reliance Jio. But Byju’s has been the most under attack on Twitter because it caters to the needs of children and the issue involves his son and drugs.
