whereas Narendra Modi And with Home Minister Amit Shah set to ramp up the party campaign with the PM’s rally at Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s bastion in Mandi on September 24, the Congress is finalizing plans to organize a rally for Priyanka Gandhi.

Sensing the anti-incumbency wave that could have been set up, the BJP is making every effort to strengthen its party cadre. On Thursday, the party’s national organization secretary BL Santosh discussed with the former district and divisional presidents and sought their suggestions regarding the upcoming elections.

In the meeting, the old BJP workers took a pledge to carry forward the party’s campaign. These workers are willing to voluntarily be a part of election management teams formed at various levels.
Santosh also participated in the meeting of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha regarding PM Modi’s upcoming rally in Mandi.

The BJP is also planning to come up with a “Golden Vision” document to counter the 10 guarantees announced by the Congress. “The documents will be based on the suggestions we have received from different sections of the society. The committee formed to finalize this is working round the clock,” a BJP leader told News18.

The Congress too, with its own star campaigners including Priyanka Gandhi, is trying to cement its bid to oust the BJP. The party has already taken the lead in finalizing its candidates and it is expected that the early release of the list will give enough time to the candidates to campaign. It is also hoping to overcome the crisis arising out of the move of some of its top leaders to the BJP.

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has already started the campaign and is expected to address rallies in the coming days.
