The countdown to the budget is in its final stages. The Modi government is all set to present its last full budget before the 2024 general elections. In the first budget, when India is coming out of the Covid pandemic, the Finance Minister’s focus will be on reducing the scars left by Covid-19. Some are of the opinion that this will be his toughest budget yet as he is expected to account for global headwinds while balancing the need to cater to voters ahead of the crucial general elections due in 2023.
