The Assam government on Monday said the General Science question paper of the state board’s Class 10 exam was leaked and the exam has been cancelled.
A police case was registered and CID was ordered to investigate the matter, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said.
“Last night the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) got some clue that today’s paper (General Science) has been leaked. Due to this the exam was cancelled. The next date will be announced in due course.
He said a detailed investigation would reveal the source of the leak and the culprits behind it.
“There is no question of involvement of teachers. The papers are kept at the police stations and taken to the exam centers on the morning of the exam itself,” said Pegu.
