Assam police pasted notice at Youth Congress chief Srinivas’s house.

Assam Police (Assam Police) reached Karnataka today to serve notice to Indian Youth Congress National President Biwi (Srinivasa Biwi) Srinivas to appear at Dispur Police Station, Guwahati at 11 am on May 2. But when Srinivas was not found at home, the notice was pasted at his house. Along with this, another notice is also sent to their native place. Guwahati Joint Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police Thube Simbal Vijay Kumar said that according to the FIR, the victim was being harassed, domesticated and sexually abused for the last 6 months. Vijay Kumar said that we have given him notice and time to appear before his investigating officers. When he comes, we will record his statement and inquire about other details which will help in the investigation. Almost all the legal procedures have been followed. We had already informed the Karnataka Police.

Taking a dig at the sexual harassment complaint against Congress youth wing president Srinivas Beevi, Assam page Himanta Biswa Sarma said there is a “lack of safe environment” within the Congress party for women’s reservation.
