Vidhan Sabha Election 2022 Result Live Updates: After his historic victory in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders of the BJP high command on a visit to Delhi on Friday, sources told CNN-News18. Meanwhile, with its victory in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has moved closer to becoming a national party.

Raghav Chadha on Thursday said that the party will emerge as a national and natural replacement of the Congress in the coming days. Addressing party workers at the rented residence of party’s chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann in Sangrur, Chadha said, “AAP will become a national force in the days to come… The party will emerge as a national and natural replacement of Congress. “

He said that the whole country is looking towards Arvind Kejriwal’s model of governance and the people of Punjab have swept the state with Jhadu (AAP’s election symbol). AAP’s state affairs co-in-charge said, “The era of traditional parties SAD and Congress in Punjab is over and now AAP will give a clean and honest government.”

He slammed political opponents for running a “negative campaign” against AAP by calling its leader Arvind Kejriwal a “terrorist”. However, Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convener of AAP, gave a positive agenda and the result is in front of the people. Referring to AAP’s performance, he said, “No politician can be secure about his position when a common man decides to enter politics and clean the system.”

“We will give clean and honest politics to Punjab,” he said. He said that AAP will give a progressive government to Punjab. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal and former chief minister Aam Aadmi Party along with the Aam Aadmi Party is heading for a clean sweep in 88 of the 117 assembly seats in Punjab after the preliminary round of counting on Thursday. Amarinder Singh is among the trailing stalwarts.

There is silence at the Chandigarh residence of the current Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and the ancestral residence of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal after the defeat of their parties.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday thanked voters in four states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa for reposing faith in the leadership of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a series of tweets, Shah said, “BJP’s spectacular victory in Uttar Pradesh is a victory of Prime Minister Modi’s unwavering faith in the welfare of the poor of the village, the poor and the farmers. Voters have reaffirmed in the fearless and corruption free governance of Yogi Adityanath government. I wholeheartedly thank the people for this huge victory.”

Shah congratulated Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh and party workers for the resounding victory and said, “BJP is committed to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people of Uttar Pradesh.”

He thanked the people of Uttar Pradesh for reposing faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in 2014, 2017, 2019 and now in 2022.

Shah assured the voters of Goa that the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi will leave no stone unturned to fulfill their aspirations. “Grateful to the people of Goa for reposing faith in the BJP. Thanking the voters in Manipur, Shah said, “Thank you, Manipur. PM @narendramodi ji’s resolve to prosper North-East has earned him a special place in the hearts of the people of our NE region, this victory is a testament to that. Congratulations to CM@NBirenSingh ji, @AShardaDevi ji and our workers.”

He thanked the people of Uttarakhand for giving the BJP a chance to serve again. “Devbhoomi has reposed its faith in development and public welfare works under the leadership of the BJP government led by Prime Minister Modi,” Shah said.
