Assembly elections 2022: Rahul Gandhi will visit Goa on October 30

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit the state on October 30 ahead of the Goa Assembly elections to be held early next year.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar informed about his visit during the press conference on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee will reach Goa today on a three-day tour of the state. This is his first visit to the coastal state, where the TMC has decided to contest the upcoming assembly elections to be held in February 2022, the party led by Banerjee, which won the West Bengal assembly elections earlier this year, earlier this year. He has just announced his decision. Fight the upcoming Goa election.

The Goa Legislative Assembly has a strength of 40 members, of which the BJP currently has 17 MLAs and is supported by Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), Vijay Sardesai of Goa Forward Party (GFP) and three independents. GFP and MGP have three MLAs each. At the same time, Congress has 15 MLAs in the house.
