AsusThe Taiwan-based electronics major has announced a new smartphone for India. Known as the Asus 8z, the company claims that it is compact in size but big on performance. The Asus 8z will be unveiled at an online launch on February 28. Will retail via smartphone Flipkart Which has been its partner for a long time for online business. We are not sure if compact even means ‘foldable’. Asus has the Asus 8z and 8z Flip in its portfolio which could make a place here.
Asus has roped in Milind Soman for the 8z launch which indicates that the smartphone is likely to get a massive back up of power. Traditionally too, Asus has been known to pack its smartphones with heavy duty batteries. Also, the Asus 8z will be a sweat-resistant phone.
Recently Asus has launched two new smartphones in India in the premium segment. Down disease chainThe phone is known as Phone 5S and Phone 5S Pro. Both the smartphones had high end specifications like 144Hz refresh rate.
Estimating the features, the Asus 8z is expected to ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset which will be a 5G-supported chipset. It is believed to run on Android 11 and have its own skin over it.
For the cameras, the Asus 8z flaunts dual rear lenses and probably a single lens for selfies. A 5,000mAh battery can be used in the Asus 8z. The 8z could at least sport a 6-inch (being compact) AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate.
