At 8.3 degrees, Delhi recorded the coldest night this winter

Delhi Temperature: Friday night was the coldest night of the season so far.

Residents of the national capital faced scorching cold this morning after the winter temperature dropped to 8.3 degrees Celsius last night. With this, Friday night was the coldest night of the season so far, the Met Office informed about this.

The Met office said yesterday that Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 23.7 degrees Celsius, slightly below the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was 9 degrees Celsius below normal for this time of the year.

During this week, Delhi has recorded a drop in temperature. The minimum temperature in Delhi on Thursday fell to 8.4 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest temperature of the season till last night.

The air quality in the city had deteriorated sharply last month after Diwali and has now entered the ‘very poor’ category. The AQI was recorded at 302 this morning and 314 yesterday evening as gasping for air continues in the national capital. Delhi’s air quality has remained in the ‘poor’ category for the last three days. Delhi’s neighbors Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon and Noida recorded their air quality in the “poor” category.

According to the IMD, Delhi will witness light fog during the day and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 24 degrees Celsius.
