Maharashtra topped the list of states with the highest number of beneficiaries under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY), followed by Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, Parliament was informed on Monday.

In Tamil Nadu, ₹300.46 crore was provided under the scheme to new employees of 12,803 establishments till December 4, 2021, to the beneficiaries.
In Gujarat, an amount of ₹278.63 crore has been provided to new employees of 12,379 establishments and in Karnataka, a total of ₹221.63 crore has been provided to new employees of 8,024 establishments under the scheme to the beneficiaries.
The government had launched ABRY to encourage employment generation in Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) registered establishments during COVID-19 for the period from October 1, 2020 to March 31, 2022.
Under ABRY, the government is paying 24 per cent (12 per cent salary for each) of both employees and employers in respect of establishments having 1,000 employees and 12 per cent of the salary of the employees to be paid in respect of establishments employing more than 1,000 employees. for establishments. , the House was informed.
Till December 4, 2021, employment opportunities have been created for 39.73 lakh new employees and benefits worth ₹2612.10 crore have been credited in their accounts.
The Minister also informed the House that the average time taken in processing the claims of EPFO subscribers was 7.3 days during 2021-22 till December 6, 2021 during the current financial year.
It was 8.4 days in 2020-21 and 11.5 days in 2019-20.
Shri Teli also informed the House that the upgradation of service delivery system in EPFO is a continuous exercise.
During the last four years, an estimated 535.71 lakh EPF accounts have been amalgamated/merged into the Universal Account Number (UAN) linked with Aadhaar.
He said that in order to further enhance and improve service delivery and grievance redressal, EPFO is engaged in strengthening the centralized IT system in phases through integration of different databases at the regional level and payment systems.
