Colombo: Australia all-rounder Michelle Marshaw He said he was cursed in India because he was injured during the start IPL 2022 while playing for Delhi Capitals crew.

“I went through my initial injury – which was very minor – but then to play a game and get COVID, it was a bit shaky start. But once I got going, it was nice to have some consistent performances on the board. I really enjoyed my time there.”
The 30-year-old heaped praise on Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting, saying the former Australian captain instilled confidence in his team’s players.
Marsh said, “Everyone talks a lot about him and what he has achieved in the game, but I have a real sense of how much he cares for his players. I think he might be a captain and It was like that as a team leader.” said about ponting
“The way he makes you feel – he made me feel like I am a really important player for Delhi. You gain confidence from it when a leader instills that kind of confidence in you,” he said.
Apart from this, the all-rounder mentioned the mindset of the best players in the world.
“It’s been a very crazy 12 months, a lot has happened, and I definitely enjoy playing cricket as much as Australia constantly,” Marsh said.
“Considering the last 12 months, I’ve grown up a little bit, a little more experienced. I’m starting to understand what works for me when it comes to preparation and in each and every game. Feeling as good as possible,” he added.
“I’ve talked about how tough international cricket really is. But you have to believe that you’re here and I think in the last 12 months, I’ve really come to believe that my best is someone else’s. Together we can fight it. The world. This is the mindset of all the best players in the world.”
Australia will take on hosts Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series starting June 7 in Colombo.
