Avatar the Way of Water at D23 Expo 2022: Everyone is very excited to get the update about Avatar 2. James Cameron has unveiled the new video for Avatar 2, making the sequel the most anticipated film of the year. As the anticipation around the film has grown, the filmmaker revealed several scenes from “Avatar: The Way of Water” – the second installment of his epic sci-fi franchise – at the D23 Expo on Saturday.

According to Deadline, the scenes, which were in 3D, were shown to attendees on two giant screens in the main Anaheim Convention Center room, where the studio’s productions with Disney siblings Marvel and Lucasfilm were held. The film once again focuses on Worthington’s Sully and Saldana’s new character Netiri. In the footage, one scene shows Nai floating underwater. Another is a young man saying that he wants to be separated from his father.

Additionally, there were scenes of some sort of hostage situation, with fighting in the woods at night. Another moment featured emotional interactions between the characters Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. As Deadline reports, a tribal leader told a young Navi that war was bad.

A sequel to the award-winning 2009 epic adventure “Avatar”, which released in theaters 13 years ago, the screenplay is by Cameron and Josh Friedman. “Avatar: The Way of Water” stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Eddie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet.

A sequel to 2009 Avatar, the script comes from Cameron and Josh Friedman, starring Worthington and Saldana alongside Michelle Yeoh, Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin and others. As Deadline reports, Cameron virtually joined the presentation from New Zealand, where he is finishing the film and working on the second, third and fourth installments of the series in the middle of a “quite busy” five-year production cycle.

Cameron shared, “It’s going great and things are looking great coming off Weta.” “I’m so excited to finally finish movie 2. I know everyone’s been waiting for a long time. Hopefully, we’ll show something today and you can decide whether it’s worth it or not.”

Worthington and Saldana will play parents in the new film. Worthington said on stage, “The whole film deals with the safety of the family. We have all gone through Covid and realized that being with love and family is paramount to life and worth fighting for. We put it in the film. Is.” Cameron also said that he has remade ‘Avatar’ for a whole new generation of movie fans. “Which never got to see it in a movie theatre. It will be a drumroll and will remind people of the story,” he added.

The second part of the film will hit theaters globally on December 16, 2022.
