Axis Bank has revised interest rates on fixed deposits (FDs) from 7 days to 10 years. The lender has recently revised and released new interest rates for its domestic fixed deposits and NRI fixed deposits. As per the information given on their official website, the revised interest rates of Axis Bank will be effective from September 9, 2021. The minimum deposit amount with the bank is Rs 5,000 if you choose online mode and Rs 10,000 if you want to do it through your nearest branch. One of the benefits of opening an account with this lender is that you can enjoy benefits like flexible tenure which can be anywhere from 7 days to 10 years. You can also avail services like online account opening, competitive interest rates, automatic roll-out facility, premature withdrawal facility, reinvest deposit option to earn higher interest rate, deposit transfer, additional interest rates for senior citizens, etc.
The new interest rates for regular citizens range from 2.50 per cent to 5.75 per cent. Senior citizens holding domestic fixed deposit accounts can enjoy interest rates ranging from 2.50 per cent to 6.50 per cent. Non-resident external (NRE) deposits have now increased the interest rates from 5.10 per cent to 5.75 per cent for accounts below Rs 5 crore.
