Azam Khan’s ‘cryptic’ dig, Rajbhar’s criticism and different uncle: Bumpy ride on Road to RS pole for Akhilesh

It seems a daunting task for Akhilesh Yadav to keep his flock together ahead of the Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections. Already battling with a different uncle – Shivpal Yadav has written to the UP assembly speaker to change his seat – the Samajwadi Party chief’s troubles are compounded by his Rampur (Sadar) MLA’s cryptic statements. Aajam Khan and SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar.

Azam Khan, who took oath as MLA but did not attend the assembly session citing health reasons, met Shivpal Yadav on the first day of the session and was present in Lucknow on the second day, but did not attend the proceedings of the House. However, Azam Khan’s son Abdullah took part in some part of the budget session and even held closed-door talks with Akhilesh Yadav, which lasted for almost half an hour.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Azam Khan said: “Till now I haven’t seen other ships, I had drawn a boundary line of my own. I should have kept dua salaam with them and had tea with everyone. Jab. Others can have tea with each other and attend weddings, so why can’t I ” Asked if he was unhappy with Akhilesh Yadav, Azam Khan said, “A weak person like me cannot be angry with anyone.”

SP sources suggest that Azam Khan is seeking ticket for his wife Tajan Fatima for the by-election to Rampur parliamentary seat and his cryptic statements pointing to the jump could be a pressure tactic as the SP chief has yet to contest the Rampur parliamentary seat. The candidate has not been finalized for The seat fell vacant after Azam Khan decided to leave it and continue as MLA.

On the other hand, during the Governor’s address at the beginning of the budget session in the UP Legislative Assembly, the SP MLAs were creating a ruckus while the alliance partners sat silently. All the MLAs of SBSP led by OP Rajbhar were silently listening to the speech and after the proceedings Rajbhar openly opposed the uproar of the SP MLAs. Many believe that this change in the behavior of SBSP MLAs could be part of a strategy to create pressure. Akhilesh Yadav Since there were rumors about Rajbhar that he wants to send his son to Rajya Sabha.

Nomination for 11 seats of Rajya Sabha started from May 24. In terms of numbers, where BJP can send seven candidates, the quota of SP is three. However, there could be interesting equations for the remaining one seat.

The recognition of the Samajwadi Party in the Rajya Sabha is also in danger because for the recognition of a party, there should be five members in the house. Ram Gopal Yadav and Jaya Bachchan are currently the only members of the party in the Upper House. SP can send three members in the upcoming elections depending on the number of MLAs.

If Jayant Chaudhary of RLD goes to Rajya Sabha on one seat, then only four members of SP will remain in the house. In such a situation, the recognition of SP from Rajya Sabha will end. Recognition of a party ensures opportunity to speak on every issue as well as allotment of seats.
