“Back At Your Service”: Arvind Kejriwal After Testing Negative For Covid

Arvind Kejriwal had tested positive on Tuesday, a day after holding a political rally in Dehradun.

New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today tested negative for COVID-19, less than a week after he contracted the infection.

Kejriwal posted on Twitter, “After recovering from Corona, I am back in your service.”

Mr Kejriwal had tested positive on Tuesday, a day after he held a political rally in Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

A week before testing positive, the Aam Aadmi Party national convener had actively campaigned in the electoral states of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa.

After AAP’s victory in 14 out of 35 wards of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, he led a victory march in Chandigarh on 30 December.

The Delhi Chief Minister took part in a peace march in Patiala on December 31, days after a Ludhiana court bomb blast and an attempt to sabotage the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

On January 2, Mr. Kejriwal held a rally in Lucknow and on January 3 he was in Dehradun for election campaign where he addressed a public meeting.

Delhi recorded 20,181 new cases of Kovid on Saturday, while the positivity rate increased to 19.60%.

The national capital has been witnessing a spurt in daily cases over the past few days, mainly due to the Omicron version of the infection.
