“The local people have identified the man who assaulted the woman as Mahantesh Cholchagudda. The woman seen in the video is Sangeeta Siksari, a lawyer. Mahantesh is believed to have assaulted Sangeeta when an altercation broke out between them. Sangeeta has since been admitted to a hospital and is on her way to recovery. He hasn’t filed a complaint yet, but is expected to do so soon. We will take Mahantesh into custody once the complaint is filed.”
