Banarasi Red Chilli Pickle Recipe: An easy-to-make pickle to spice up your meal

This spicy and tangy pickle offers a fusion of flavors and makes the perfect accompaniment to your Indian meal. Whole red chilies are stuffed with a spice powder that contains different spices, each with its own distinct flavor.

How to make Banarasi Red Chilli Pickle Recipe:

firstly, make sure to get big red chillies which can be easily stuffed with your pickle masala. Clean them, remove the seeds, wash and let them dry naturally. Then proceed to making Banarasi chilli pickle.

For stuffing, grind whole spices like fennel, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and black pepper and prepare masala powder. When it becomes coarse, add spice powders like turmeric powder, asafoetida, amchur powder and salt as per taste. Then add a little mustard oil and lemon juice to it.

Make a cut in the middle of the chillies with the help of a knife and fill it in the prepared pickle masala. Store the pickle in a glass jar and leave it to ripen in the sun for 4-5 days.
