‘Bangalore Days’ fame dog Simmba passes away – Times of India

It is really heartbreaking to hear about the loss of your dearest pet and the entire film industry is mourning the loss of Simmba, the dog who appeared in the feel-good drama film ‘Bangalore Days’. Simmba passed away on the last day and many celebrities have now paid tribute to the loss of adorable dog Simmba on their official social media handles.

The official Twitter handle of Rakshit Shetty starrer ‘777 Charlie’ shared a picture of the dog, Simmba, and penned an emotional note, which read, “Rest in peace Simmba.” The post was soon flooded with comments from Twitterati, who were deeply saddened by the loss of Simmba.

Simmba is owned by Varun who hails from Basavanagudi in Bangalore. Simmba was trained in the early stages by a resident of Basavanagudi named Swami, when he was just 30 days old.


After working in several Kannada films, Simmba has also made an active appearance in television commercials and dog shows organized by several popular clubs in Bangalore. Simmba was selected to play Natasha’s pet in ‘Bangalore Days’ when he was just one year old.

Apart from ‘Bangalore Days’, Simmba has also appeared in Kannada films ‘Sivaji Surathkal’, ‘Nanu Mathu Gunda’, ‘Gultu’ and ‘Wajid’. ‘Nanu Mathu Gunda’ actor Shivraj KR took to his official Instagram handle to share a tribute note for the loss of ‘Simmba’.
