New York: Twitter’s new owner billionaire Elon Musk has said that the social media company will create a “Content Moderation Council” and that any major content decision or account reinstatement will take place after such body is convened.
Musk’s remarks came a day after he completed the $44 billion acquisition of the social media giant.
“Twitter will set up a content moderation council with widely diverse perspectives. There will be no major material decision or account restoration before that council convenes,” Musk, 51, tweeted on Friday.
“To be clear, we have not yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies,” he said.
Musk has yet to provide details about how his content moderation council will work.
