Pietersen posted a picture with Kohli on Instagram and captioned the post: “Buddy, there have been some great ones in your career who have played the game, only wish they could do what you’ve done (so far). Be proud, Walk tall and enjoy life. There is more to it than the bubble of cricket. You will be back, @Virat. Kohli.”
Earlier, the captain of Pakistan Babar Azmi There was a tweet even after Kohli was dismissed for 16 in the second ODI. Babar’s tweet read: “This too shall pass”.
On the eve of the first Test against Sri Lanka, Babar had addressed a press conference and was asked about his tweet on Kohli. “As a player myself, I know you can go through such phases (out of form) and I also know what a player goes through in such phases. At that point, you need support. I tweeted just thinking it would give just some support. He is one of the best players,” Babar said during a press conference.

Kohli’s last international century came in 2019 and after that, the three-digit mark eluded him. The batsman failed to progress in the Edgbaston Test and then the two T20 Internationals against England.
Kohli will not be part of the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against West Indies from July 22. News agency PTI had reported that Kohli has been rested for the series.
