As per the numbers currently available, ‘Beast’ has grossed 30 to 35 crores in Tamil Nadu alone and is heading towards the 50 crore mark (~15 crores from rest of India) across India. Combining its worldwide figures, reportedly between 15 to 200 crores so far, the current box office performance of ‘Beast’ is quite commendable with over 65 crores. If numbers are to be judged accurately, and pending night shows are discounted, ‘Beast’ is likely to be ‘Valimai’ (Rs 36.71 crore) on its first day, becoming the highest-grossing ever in Tamil Nadu. The film will be made.
C. Sembian Shivakumar, COO, Sun Pictures, expressed gratitude for the “humongous opening” of Beast on day one.

However, ‘Beast’ has received mixed reviews from both critics and fans alike and one can expect a drop in performance from Day #2. With ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ looming large since April 14 and the film owns nearly 45% of theater space in Tamil Nadu, ‘The Beast’s box office run could take a major dent.
Written and directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanidhi Maran, ‘Beast’ stars Vijay, Pooja HegdeFilmmakers Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Radin Kingsley, and others.
