India Couple Tour: The Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’ resumed from Chautukur in Andol constituency on Saturday after it was morning on Friday and halted at Alladurg in the night after covering a distance of over 20 km.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi was seen playing football on the road during the padyatra, expressing his love for the game. The ball was going from Gandhi’s side to another participant of the Wayanad MP padyatra. As they marched forward, they kept kicking while pushing the ball forward.

Congress is making every effort to make the padyatra lively and energetic. On several occasions, artists have been seen performing to honor the participants.

During the day, Gandhi addressed a street corner meeting in Peddapur. Saturday March is the tenth day of the yatra in the state. The Wayanad MP has been meeting intellectuals, leaders of various communities, including sports, business and entertainment personalities during the party’s campaign in the state.

The Bharat Jodi Yatra started on 7 September from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.

Gandhi completed marathon walks in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka before entering Telangana last week. Telangana State Congress has constituted 10 special committees to coordinate the yatra.

Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh landed in legal trouble after using the music of blockbuster Kannada film ‘KGF-2’ during the party’s ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’ on Saturday. A case was registered against three senior Congress leaders for allegedly making unauthorized use of the film’s music during the padyatra.

Rahul Gandhi to address public meeting in Jukkal on November 7

Party sources said Gandhi will address a massive public meeting in Jukkal on November 7 before entering Maharashtra as the Bharat Jodi Yatra is set to end the Telangana phase on the same day. Senior Congress leaders from the state, including Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Revanth Reddy, visited the venue on Friday.

The Telangana phase of the foot march began on October 24 and will end on November 7 before entering Maharashtra.
