Bharatiya Kisan Sangh protest: Workers of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh protested demanding remunerative price for farmers. Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: RSS workers Indian Farmers Association (BKS) demonstrated in Nagpur on Wednesday as part of its nationwide agitation. farmers for their produce to cover their production costs and called for “reforms” in the Centre’s new agricultural laws.
President of Vidarbha unit of BKS while talking to reporters Nana Aakhre Said that the central government should either bring a new law or amend the agri-marketing laws made last year to add a provision for payment of minimum support price (MSP).MSP) for major agricultural produce.
He said farmers should get a “remunerative price” for their produce to cover their cost of production, which they do not get in the current system.
BKS senior functionary Dinesh Kulkarni had earlier said that remunerative price is cost of production plus profit. Remunerative price is the right of the farmers, which should be facilitated by the government.
Akhare has indicated that the organization will intensify its agitation in the coming days if these demands are not met.
The three agriculture laws enacted in September 2020 are projected by the Modi government as major reforms in the agriculture sector that will remove middlemen and allow farmers to sell anywhere in the country.
However, farmers have expressed apprehensions that the new laws will pave the way for eroding the security cushion of MSPs and leave the mandis at the mercy of big corporates.
