Biden: Biden talks to Ukrainian president as Russia intensifies shelling – Times of India

Washington: President of the United States of America Biden spoke with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr on Tuesday (local time) zelensky and discussed America’s “continued support” against Russian military actions.
“I just spoke with President Zelensky to discuss our continued support for Ukraine – including security aid and humanitarian aid – as it defends itself against Russian aggression. We will hold Russia accountable, and our sanctions are already having a devastating effect,” Biden tweeted.
Taking to Twitter, Zelensky said, “Just chatted with @POTUS. Discussed US leadership on anti-Russian sanctions and defense aid to Ukraine. We must stop the attacker as soon as possible. Thank you for your support!”
On Tuesday, the sixth day of its military operations in Ukraine, Russia intensified shelling targeting the capital city of Kyiv as well as Kharkiv, the second largest city.
Eight people were killed and 35 injured in a rocket attack on a housing block in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city.
