CNG-PNG Prices: Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) has decided to cut the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) from today (April 8). According to a press release, the price of CNG has been reduced by Rs 8.13 per kg and that of PNG by Rs 5.06 per cubic centimetre.

ATGL applauds the historic decision of the Central Government to link the Administered Price Mechanism (APM) price for gas supply to CNG vehicles and residential households to 10% of the Indian crude basket with a floor price of $4 and a ceiling of $6.5 per MMBtu Did.

“In line with our policy of giving priority to our end consumers, ATGL has decided to extend the benefits of the new gas pricing guidelines announced by the Government of India to a larger number of domestic PNG and CNG consumers, thus increasing the affordability of PNG and CNG. Savings of more than 40% for CNG consumers as compared to petrol prices and about 15% savings for domestic PNG consumers as compared to CNG and LPG prices,” the press statement read.

Revised prices effective from midnight

“Effective from midnight today (Saturday), ATGL is pleased to announce reduction in CNG price by Rs. 8.13 per kg and PNG price by Rs. 5.06 per SCM. ATGL believes that this historic decision by the Government of India to reform gas prices will act as a growth catalyst to rapidly increase the footprint of domestic PNG and CNG vehicles so as to increase the share of natural gas from 6.5 per cent can be ensured. 15 percent of India’s energy basket by 2030, in line with the vision of the Government of India.

Price reduction to bring much needed relief
