Bigg Boss 16 winner and rapper MC Stan’s ongoing India tour is facing protests as some members of a political group have demanded that his show be shut down. His Indore concert was canceled on Friday after Bajrang Dal members occupied the stage. He claimed that rappers are polluting the young minds of the country by using profanity-filled words in their songs. The goons raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram from the stage.

The video of political members creating ruckus at the venue is going viral. Some members, with orange scarves around their necks, claimed that they would not allow the rapper to ‘pollute the minds’ of listeners with his lyrics. Some of them also inquired about the hotel where the rapper was staying. The incident has left the internet divided.

Hundreds of tweets have surfaced on the internet following the incident, with one Twitter user writing, “Bahut sahi kiya aisa hi ho chahiye tha gali galoj wale gaane gaata tha.” However, MC Stan fans rallied behind the rapper, with one of them saying, “Extremely disappointed to hear about the cancellation of the MC Stan show due to pressure from the Karni Sena. Freedom of expression and artistic creativity must be respected.” And should be protected, not suppressed. Another said, “Kya yeh desh in goon se chalega, ek artist ko kya chalta hai, kya yehi insaniyat? He loves his country more than life. This thing Shut up and let the artist do his job.”

Rapper MC Stan aka Altaf Tadvi became a household name after winning Salman Khan-hosted controversial reality show Bigg Boss 16 defeated Priyanka Chahar Chowdhary, Shiv Thackeray, Archana Gautam and Shalin Bhanot in the grand finale last month. Meanwhile, MC Stan’s next concert is scheduled in Nagpur today and then he will take a break before resuming his tour last week in April and performing in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Delhi and returning to his celebrity home on May 7. Will end the Basti Yatra.
