Bihar Board 12th Result 2024: Tushar Kumar Secures 1st Position In Arts With 96.4% – News18

The overall passing percentage of this year has shown a significant improvement. It has stood at 87.21%.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the intermediate batches of 2023-24 on March 23. The board has also released the list of toppers in different streams including arts, commerce, and science. Following the declaration, the BSEB held a press conference at the Main Hall of Sinha Library in Patna. At the conference, the board detailed the names of the toppers, overall pass percentages, and more. As per the announcement, the overall passing percentage of this year has shown a significant improvement. It has stood at 87.21%.

According to the declaration, Tushar Kumar hailing from Dariapur, Saran has secured the first position with a total score of 482 out of 500. He belongs to the arts stream and has gained 96.4% of the score. He is followed by Mritunjay Kumar from Science, who has secured the second position in the state with 481 marks and 96.2%. Priya Kumar from commerce stream has secured 478 marks with 95.6%.

In the toppers list, Simran Gupta and Varun Kumar from science have secured fourth and fifth position, respectively with 477 marks each in the 2023-24 exam.

The names in the list include the students belonging to ordinary families that majorly struggle financially. While some students’ fathers sell vegetables, others work as farmers. One of the most common things in all the students is their big dreams and ambitions.

According to a News18 report, Mrityunjay Kumar hails from Siwan district. He studies at GM High School in Barharia. His father Rajesh Prasad owns a grocery shop in the region and provides for the family. While talking on News18, Mrityunjay mentioned that he will be preparing for the UPSC examination in the future.

Priya Kumar from Sheikhpura is a student of Mahatma Gandhi Adarsh High School in Barbigha. She mentioned that she is aspiring to pursue her career in the banking sector.

According to the BSEB, a total of 12,91,684 students, comprising 6,22,217 girls and 6,69,467 boys have appeared in the examination this year. Out of which, as many as 11,26,439 students have passed the exam.
