Patna: A state in Eastern India Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Reiterating his stand and on Saturday rejected the demand of a section of BJP MPs and ministers of his government to ban loudspeakers at religious places in the state. Nitish said, “Let’s not talk about this nonsense. In Bihar, we do not interfere in anyone’s religious practices. Every person has the right to follow his faith. Some people think that to create controversy. It’s their business.”

MPs and several organizations have stood for the ban in Bihar, citing similar restrictions announced in Uttar Pradesh, BJP’s State Mines and Geology Minister Janak Ram said on Friday that UP’s decision is sure to have an impact in Bihar.
For his part, Nitish advised journalists not to talk about such “nonsense issues”. Responding to Janak’s comments, the chairman of the JD(U) Parliamentary Board Upendra Kushwaha He said that Nitish heads the NDA government, not the BJP government.
