The BJP on Friday appointed Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav as its in-charge for the by-elections to the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha seat to be held on October 30. The party in charge of the bypolls, said in a statement.
Vasava and Desai are BJP MLAs from the neighboring state of Gujarat. By-election was required for Dadra and Nagar Haveli seat Independent MP Mohan Delkar passes away. He was found hanging in a Mumbai hotel earlier this year.
Lok Sabha seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
