BJP changes PM’s Bengaluru roadshow over medical entrance exam

Keeping the NEET exams in mind, the Karnataka BJP made changes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day roadshow in Bengaluru, ahead of the assembly elections in the state, by scheduling a comprehensive program on May 6 and a smaller one on May 7. Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje said on Friday.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled on May 7 (Sunday).

He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s road show will be held on May 6 and 7, preparations are going on for this. We had given information in this regard to the public through the press. However, you (media) people informed us about the NEET exam to be held on May 7. At 2 pm, and a 26 km roadshow would cause inconvenience to (students writing) the exam,” Mr. Karandlaje said.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, he said, it was brought to the notice of the Prime Minister, and PM Modi, who pays special attention to children with initiatives like ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, asked us to ensure that That there is no inconvenience not a single student is going to the examination center at any cost.

So the PM directed the state BJP to make changes in the programme, he said, as per his wish, some changes have been made in the programme.

“Earlier we had said on May 6 that there would be a 10 km roadshow, and on May 7 it would be 26 km. Changing this, we will now cover a longer distance of 26 km from Someshwara Bhavan RBI Ground in Bengaluru on May 6. South to Malleswaram to Sanke Tank between 10am to 1.30pm, and Thippasandra to Kempegowda Statue at Trinity Circle Shorter one of about 10km, which may be completed soon, from 10am to 11/11 on Sunday :30 p.m.,” he said.

Further noting that many examination centers are not located on the stretch where the roadshow will be held on Sunday, he said that if any student comes from that area, on showing their hall ticket, police officials will be asked to ensure that It has been directed that they reach the examination. The roadshow, which was earlier to be held for eight hours only on Saturday, was divided into two parts – on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 1.30 pm, so that in case the rally is held throughout the day, the general public Do not be inconvenienced ,

Accusing the Congress of conspiring to disrupt the roadshow on Saturday, by diverting ambulances from its workers and well-wishers or hospitals run by them to within a 26-km radius, which the PM can complete in about three hours, Ms. Karandlaje said that he had hatched a conspiracy to malign the Prime Minister’s roadshow.

“We have requested the police to ensure that ambulances with patients reach hospitals on time without any hindrance, we have also discussed with SPG in this regard…we are following things up,” he added.
