Congress may have introduced Article 371(J) amendment in the constitution to provide for regional reservation in Kalyan Karnataka. But it is the BJP which has implemented it, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said in Hubballi on Sunday.
He rejected Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement that BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani had opposed the Article 371(J) amendment.
Rahul Gandhi’s statement is based on ignorance. He reads from the chits that others have written for him. He cannot answer questions that are outside the scope of the material provided to him. There is no need to take him seriously,” he said.
According to Shri Joshi, the Bharat Jodi Yatra by the Congress will not have any positive effect on the Congress. “While Rahul Gandhi is busy with Bharat Jodo, the Congress Chodo (Quit Congress) movement is going on across the country. The real India pair is being done by the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that the changes made in the Kalasa-Banduri Nala scheme will not have any impact on him. The earlier plan required a lot of deforestation. It also takes a long time to get approvals from different departments. But in the changed format permissions will be faster and less trees will be cut.
“The state will get the right to use the water in a year, if the Central Water Commission allows us to go ahead with the project. No one should do politics on this.
