On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on Saturday. The purpose of the Akhil Rajya Yatra is to highlight the policies and schemes of the Central and State Governments.

Thakur said that since the Prime Minister has a special attachment to Himachal Pradesh, a ‘Seva Pakhwada’ was also started on the occasion of his birthday.

The purpose of LED Rath Yatra is to publicize various development programs and welfare schemes of the government in all the assembly constituencies. Thakur said that the government was making concerted efforts for the all-round development of the state.

Claiming that the opposition Congress was passing through its worst phase, Thakur said the BJP was again on the way to form the government in Himachal Pradesh. The Congress is passing through its worst phase and the ‘Quit Congress Campaign’ is progressing steadily. The resignation of Congress Vice President Ram Lal Thakur is the latest example of this.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the state government has set new records of development in the last five years. He said that the state was continuously moving towards prosperity and progress. He also gave information about various development schemes of the government.

BJP state president Suresh Kashyap said that through this yatra, the BJP will try to reach the villages and seek suggestions from the people for the vision document of the party for the upcoming elections. Kashyap, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rajendra Garg flagged off the Yatra from Hamirpur.

Kashyap further said that the local leaders will lead the Rath Yatra at the Mandal level and provide awareness about the achievements of the government, development works in all the assembly constituencies and public welfare schemes and services.
