The incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its ‘sankalp patra’ or ‘manifesto’ with various promises based on national and local interests for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections, which are due in two phases in early December. Another polling will be held in the state on December 5 and the counting of votes will take place on December 8.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, BJP national president JP Nadda and state party president CR Patil presented the saffron party’s manifesto in Gandhinagar on Saturday, 26 November.
The ruling party has guaranteed one lakh government jobs for women, implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, 10,000 crores for Agri-Marketing Infra, Blue Economy Industries Corridor, Financial Assistance to EWS/OBC students etc.
Here are the top 8 promises made by the BJP in its Sankalp Patra
1) Nadda announced that the saffron party will launch a ‘Gujarat Olympic Mission’ with the aim of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games in Gujarat and create world-class sports infrastructure.
2) BJP National President said that they will arrange free education for all girls from KG to PG in the state.
3) JP Nadda announced, “We will create an Anti-Radicalization Cell to identify and eliminate potential threats and sleeper cells of terrorist organizations and anti-India forces.”
4) The saffron party has also announced the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. “We will ensure full implementation of the recommendations of the Gujarat UCC committee,” he added.
5) BJP has also promised separate funds for poor people, education, AIIMS level medical facilities and irrigation in Saurashtra as well as South Gujarat.
6) He said, “We will also make a law related to damage to public property. The law will be regarding recovery from anti-social elements who damage public property and attack private property.”
7) Nadda has also assured to create 20 lakh new jobs in the state.
8) The ruling party has assured 10,000 crore for farmer infrastructure, 25,000 crore for irrigation facilities, two seafood parks in South Gujarat and Saurashtra, etc.
