BJP may finalize Gujarat Assembly tickets on Wednesday

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will finalize its list of candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections in its Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP State President CR Patil along with CEC members will attend the meeting.

News agency ANI quoted a party source as saying, “A preliminary round of the meeting has been held at the state headquarters in Gandhinagar over three days, during which a shortlist of candidates has already been prepared, which will be considered and finalized by the CEC. will be brought to form.” Saying

“Before the CEC meeting, BJP Gujarat Core Group will also have a separate meeting with JP Nadda and Amit Shah,” it said.

Talking to another source ANI further said, “Since all the central and state leadership may be present during this meeting. It is also likely that with PM Narendra Modi especially on the election campaign plan for the upcoming elections. There will be a separate discussion with the top officials. They have been directed to target the highest ever polling figures.”

BJP is in power in Gujarat for 27 years. Before becoming the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. election Commission announced Schedule for Gujarat Assembly elections on 3rd November. Elections in the state will be held in two phases on December 1 and December 5. The results of the Gujarat assembly will be declared on December 8 along with the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.

Voting will be held on 89 seats in the first phase and 93 seats in the second phase.

Gujarat has traditionally been a two-party state, with the Congress and the BJP bidding to form the government, but this time the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has campaigned aggressively in the state and polled opinion polls for the party in Gujarat. Attendance seems to be negligible. ,
